Class P.G. to K.G. II
PREPARATORY LEVEL
DPWS, Gwalior an English medium school is affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. The school has classes from Prenursery to class 12th. The academic year begins in the month of March every year.
At DPWS, Gwalior we ensure our students are always open to the teaching & learning process, hence we have a blend of practical methods of teaching with purely academic ways of teaching varying from one level to another. Students enjoy this blend which in turn makes them more active at each level.
Class I to V
PRIMARY LEVEL
At the primary level different games and attractive infrastructure assures students attention. Innovative teaching and art integrated learning has increased the student’s involvement manifolds.
From class III onwards, a weekly assessment system and four examinations in a year, divided in three months each, is followed which builds on the students’ learning and development process and keeps a timely check on it.
Class VI to VII
MIDDLE LEVEL
Children from the caring and protective environment of the twitter Zone come into the main school building. As they grow their learning requirement changes and that is what has been taken care in the middle school. This building houses all the facilities like libraries, computer labs, language labs, art and music rooms for giving the growing children the much-required expos.
Class IX to XII
SECONDARY LEVEL
Now that students are taking final steps toward finishing their school, the learning needs and hence, the methodology of teaching changes. At this stage, they not only need to focus on their final board exams but also need to prepare for their various other competitive exams. Keeping all these special needs in mind, DPWS Gwalior has a separate self-sufficient building as per their needs. The building has tiered classrooms with Educomp facilities. It also has a separate library, computer labs, various laboratories for their use.
E- LEARNING

E-Learning includes constructivism. Students construct knowledge rather than just consuming it. At DPS, E-Learning is incorporated in every subject. A series of synchronous classes tackle the curriculum as students are given explanations using various Microsoft tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Sway, OneNote, Microsoft Whiteboard giving a classroom feel to students. Apart from offering core subjects at all levels, the school offers a range of languages like:
- Sanskrit
- French
- Japanies
The Students can choose one of these III languages other than English and Hindi from classes IV to VIII, the same gets converted to II language from class XI.
